HOW DOES A HEADACHE SPECIALIST DIFFER FROM A NEUROLOGIST OR PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR IN TREATING HEADACHES?

UCNS Headache Medicine Specialists are physicians who have additional fellowship training and have taken a national certification board exam that covers headache medicine only in addition their specialty (which could be neurology, family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine). Headache specialists are the most equipped physicians for understanding all headache types and treatment options. In contrast, neurologists only see headache patients in a mix along with other diseases such as stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, etc. Primary care physicians are often spread even thinner and are unable to focus on headache specialty care.

WHAT TYPE OF SERVICES WILL I GET FROM MY SUBSCRIPTION TO HORIZON HEADACHE CENTER?

You will have access to Dr. Trimble via Telehealth visits as much as needed to get your headaches under control. Often these visits can be as frequent as weekly initially while we are trying to figure out the best ways to help your headache. We will work with other ancillary providers in your area. We have successfully set our patients up with physical therapists, dental care, pain management, MRI's, or any other referrals and testing you might need, without the need for travel. Finally, we will manage all your medications and pre-authorizations for your hard to get headache medications. In essence, we will be your new medical home that is convenient, private, accessible, and cost effective!

AM I ABLE TO USE MY HSA OR REGULAR INSURANCE IN ANYWAY TOWARDS MY HEALTHCARE COSTS?

Yes! You can use your HSA allowance to pay your subscription fees. You can use your regular insurance to pay for any labs, MRI's, physical therapy visits, medications or other testing you may need. These are all things that can be run through your regular insurance and are not included in your subscription fee.

WOULD I BE ABLE TO COME TO THE CLINIC FOR IN PERSON VISITS?

If you are a patient who lives close enough to the clinic and would like to see us in person at any point in time, we can discuss this on a case by case basis how to adjust your subscription, as we do see patients through regular insurance.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A SUBSCRIPTION?

A 1 month subscription is a lowest cost and easiest way to get to know us! It is only $120 for as many visits as you need—for many that could be less than $25 a visit! You can meet our doctor, see her for multiple times in the first month, get tests ordered, develop a plan, and get your initial medications and other recommendations. This is is a low cost hassle-free way to get started! You can choose to extend after this if you would like with our 1, 3 and 6 month subscription options.

HOW IS MY SUBSCRIPTION BILLED?

You can choose a 1 month, 3 month, or 6 month subscription and these are billed as a one time upfront fee. If you are unable to pay the full cost of a chosen subscription upfront, you can place a credit card on file and the cost can be deducted monthly on a payment plan without addition charge. The following is the price list for each subscription:

1 month: $120

3 months: $100/month or $300

6 months: $90/month or $540
